Introduction: Jon~Paul Jackson Hassas

So I decided to hijack, (ironic seeing how I'm Middle Eastern,.....anyway) my wife's blog and introduce to the world the newest edition to the Hassas Family. Jon~Paul Jackson Hassas was born by C~section, Wednesday, January 30th. at 1:18 P.M. He was 7 lbs 12 oz. He's an absolute stud. Many of you are wondering where Jackson came from seeing how it wasn't even an original choice to begin with. I dunno, just came home Friday night thinking about Zion being his middle name for the rest of his life and decided it didn't fit. Nothing was formally written in his birth certificate yet so I hopped on the net, combed through about 1,000 names and came across Jackson. I loved it and so did Moni. Jackson it is.

We both had a strong sense of nostalgia just walking into the hospital, (Ethan was born at Good Sam also). The place even smelled the same, all hospitals smell that way I guess. It's like a weird mix of Windex and tuna......I dunno maybe it's just me. To add to our nostalgia we even had the same anesthesiologists and delivery nurse along with Dr. Kunzel, Moni's doctor who delivered Ethan. Talk about reunion. Let's get ready to rumble.

O.K. look, if I've never said it before I'll say it now, I'm glad I'm a dude!! Dude to the core. DUDES FOREVER! I'm glad I don't have to wear nylons, high heels or a bra, there I said it. Guys, it's a good day to be a man. That said I have the UTMOST respect to you ladies. You guys are amazing and we have it too easy. There is no way I could ever go through what you guys go through to bring a human being into the world. Holy Moly....I'm starting to sweat again just thinking about it. Moni sweetheart, Valentines will be extra special this year, you deserve it, you all deserve it.

All together I took about 1,000 picture over the 3 days we were at the hospital. I'm uploading about 20 to tell the story from our experience. Someone remind me to to buy a rubber protective housing for my camera next time I decide to photo my wife giving birth. I nearly past out several times. I almost asked for an epidural for myself. The whole day gave me a real National Geographic experience. I'm planning on making a story book for the day. Stay tuned as you'll get an invite to check it out. Enjoy the photos.

~Sam

Getting there, Moni's Mom asked me to get this shot to get an idea of what she looked like just before birth.

So what so special about this photo? The next photo will show you who took it.
I promise you he knows how to operate it. He shoot and then looks at the picture to see if it's right.

This just amazes me. This is LIFE! So awesome.

I plan on doing a side by side comparison of these photos of Jon~Paul and Ethan's birth. I promise they were a spitten image of each other. Uncanny.

Helloooo everyone
O.K., do you see the little mark on his right hand just below his writs? The mark is actually a layer of skin that has been gnawed down by Jon~Paul while in the womb!! You guessed it, he'll be a thumb sucker.

Classic, I love this

Night night Jon~Paul, Welcome to our world.

This post made me want to laugh and cry at the same time (that will be a shock to Moni as she knows I am not much of a crier). I am so happy for you guys. Jon-Paul is the cutest baby I have ever seen (since Ethan was born of course)!
Love you guys,

Jon-Paul is such a good looking boy!!! I must have checked your blog at least 2x a day waiting for his pictures. Sam, I loved the way you wrote the blog and like Leah, I was laughing and almost cried to. Well Moni, welcome to the world of a mommy with 2 kidlets! Being a mother (as you already know) is the best thing ever. Congratulations and I love you. Can't wait to officially meet the new little Hassas.

I've been checking both of your blogs daily in anticipation of these precious photos. Jon-Paul Jackson sounds better than 'Nicholas' or 'Zion'. :)

What a little 'dude', Sam. He's very handsome with all that curly, black hair!

Congrats to you and Monica!

Congratulations to both of you! I can't believe they let Sam into that room with that bazooka in his hands! I think my wife would shove it... if I were to... oh nevermind. I wish the baby and the proud parents lots of happiness and health!
