URGENT Prayer for Baby Luke Fernando

Today I received a call from my dear friend, Jen Fernando requesting prayer for her baby boy, Luke. While at a routine doctor's visit, the doctor found a mass in Luke's tummy. I am so sad to report that they diagnosed him with liver cancer. He is only six month's old. In fact, he was born the same day as my son, Jon-Paul.

Tomorrow the doctors will be performing more tests to determine if the cancer has spread as well as to plan their course of action. They will either take the tumor and then proceed with chemo or proceed with chemo and then take the tumor. (Please pray that God will lead the doctors to the right decision.)

Whatever the case, please pray for the miraculous to be done in Luke's life and that God would give Jen and Ben peace and comfort through this storm. I cannot fathom what they are going through right now. They just recently moved to the Virgina area and are there with no family. I wish we could be right by their side to support them, but for now our prayers will have to do.

You may leave comments for them here, or go to my blog roll and leave a comment for Jen directly on her blog. I will be sure to give updates as I hear from Jen.

My thoughts and prayers are with Jen and Ben and especially with Luke. As a mother I could imagine this being one of the most difficult things one could ever have to go through.

I will be praying for this little sweetheart and his mommy and daddy. I can only imagine their pain and fear. God is a healer and He is sovereign.
