Happy Birthday Ethan!

Today is Ethan's third birthday! I really cannot believe how quickly he has grown. Before I know it he will be a young man. Boo Hoo. My husband told me he read an article on Digg that once boys leave the home they rarely contact their moms. This news broke my heart, and Sam even admitted to feeling sorry for me after reading this. I hope this does not hold true with either of my boys. (sigh)

Anyhow, for those of you who do not know Ethan he is one big ball of energy. I should be super skinny for chasing him around the way I do! LOL Yes, he is a busy bee and he keeps us running, but he is also such a joy. We just don't know what is going to do or say these days. Just this morning I briefly walked out of the room to grab something and I heard him praying over Jon~Paul. It was the sweetest thing. When I came back into the room I asked him to pray for me - and he did with "stammering" lips! LOL

The picture that is posted is from Sunday night at church. Our pastor, Jonathan Shoemake, decided to actually pick Ethan up and hold him during the ENTIRE altar call. I attempted to get Ethan, but Ethan wouldn't have it. He wanted to stay with Pastor. When all was said and done, our pastor sat Ethan down in his chair on the platform and to my surprise he sat there for a good 20 minutes. I guess miracles can happen.

I have also included an updated pic of the baby for those of you asking. Really, I promise to get some more up real soon.

Happy Birthday Ethan! We love you!!!!!

Sis. Hopper,
Thank you for your well-wishes! Did the birdie tell you I turned 21?! LOL

Monica,
I just love the picture of Ethan and Aiden. Time will tell . . .

21? The "birdie" didn't mention age. However, if you turned 21, do you think the "birdie" that has a birthday the 18th is turning 21 too? Ah, go for it. I think I'll turn 21 this year too.

Happy Birthday Ethan!!! And yes I have had the pleasure of witnessing this great energy your mother speaks of. LOL!! Boys ~ Gotta love em. I can't believe how fast they grow. Joaquin will be 3 on July 31st!

PS. Don't worry Moni, not all boys grow apart from their mom's. Take my brother for example. He is still mama's boy...but in a good way, not a dependant child way.

Sis. Hopper,
I think the "Birdie" is also turning 21 so we do plan on doing something extra special for her! We are planning lunch on the 18th at Maggiano's (this is where she requested we go) but we do need an idea for a special birthday prize for her. Please email me with any ideas you might have. (mmhassas@sbcglobal.net) Thanks for your help!

Chris,
Let's plan a play date real soon with the kiddies so Ethan can run off some of that energy! He has cabin fever as do I! LOL

Auntie Leah,
You will always be Auntie or Tia Leah! Thank you for taking me home with you last week - I had so much fun! love, ethan

Monica,
Your babies (well big boy and baby) are precious! My guy, Ty James, just turned three on the 27th! I too can't believe how fast he's grown. Ty loves to pray for others at the altar while shaking his fist and sing 24/7 !! We call him our little preacher man. God is good! I don't feel guilty taking all the extra time I need to cuddle him, when he's not running crazy that is! Happy Birthday Ethan!!

Love,
Michele
