Thanks for your vote!

To all of you who took the time to stop by and vote for a middle name for our soon-to-be-born son, Jon-Paul, thank you! It looks like Nicholas won out (yeah), but Sam is still not in favor of it. He really loves Zion. So, within the next two weeks or so, I promise to let you know the end result! I am going to the doctor this Wednesday to select a date for a scheduled c-section (boo-hoo). We need to decide on the name quickly because time is running out.
Personally, I think because I am the one that is going to endure all the pain, I should choose the middle name, don't you? LOL
Have a great day!

Well, I'm not going to get into the argument of the name because I always think the husband and wife should agree, but I will say this - Don't cry about the c-section. I'd take that any day over a natural delivery. My first was natural and the next two were c-sections.

Well, you'll both agree when the time comes.
About c-section. I had to pick a date (for my second child 31 years ago)) and labor started while I was waiting to be wheeled in the OR. That was my concern - is it the right time? Of course today it's all different. So you'll be OK - besides - God is with you.

Thank you all for your comments! A few weeks ago I told Sam that I could agree on Zion as the middle name, but Nicholas was my true favorite. I will be sure to let you know what we decide.

On the c-section, it gives me comfort when I hear about other's stories. I am truly terrified about being alert when they perform the surgery and the recovery it requires. It has kept me awake many nights in the last week. There are some other factors beyond my control that give me no choice to have the c-section. I know God will be with be with me, and I have a wonderful doctor who wants to hold off a little longer to give the baby time to put on a little more weight. I believe in the end everything is going to be fine.

I will pass on commenting on the middle name. But I will pray that the name turns out to please you both. Monica, please take care of yourself.

Hi Monica,

Here I am visiting your blog at 1 a.m. I'm really jazzed, because my sister had her baby tonight. Can you believe she had a 10 lb. boy? Come check out the slideshow on my blog. Okay, I'm going to bed now.

p.s. I know you two will eventually come to agree on a middle name. I voted for Nicholas.

Sis. Hopper,
Thanks for your comment. Today is my last day of work, so I plan to take some time for me to relax before the baby comes! I am so excited about it.

Sis. Connell,
Congratulations to you! I did see the pics of your nephew and he is so adorable! I can't believe he weighed 10lbs!!! I hope you get some much needed rest. Thanks for visiting my blog, and I made a point to add you to my blog roll. Isn't it a great way to keep in touch?!
