Baby Update

I received a call from my doctor's office today that they have to move the date up for my scheduled c-section. The date is now going to be Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. I am a little disappointed as it gives me two less days to get things in order, but on the other hand, it will be nice to finally meet the newest addition to our family. Additionally, please pray for my nerves. I know I sound like the biggest baby, but the thought of being alert during surgery scares the fire out of me!

In the meantime, I will be busy preparing, etc. etc. So, if I have no new posts, you know why. Be sure to check back anyhow as I am going to ask my husband to post on my blog as well as post some pics of the baby, etc.

If I have the time, I am even going to attempt to bake a red velvet cake that Sis. Allard posted the recipe for on her blog. It just sounds so good!

It's OK Sis, January babies are wonderful. All that matters right now, is for you to have your thing ready (I'm sure you are almost there), and a plan for when you get home. Being the sweet person that you are, do not hesitate to recruit anyone who has offered help. I had three c-sections - the first one was an emergency - and I did not want to be awake for the next two. Talk to your physician again to be as prepared as possible. And NO YOU ARE NOT THE BIGGEST BABY! We will pray for you. Wednesday is church night.

My hat is off to you for even attempting to bake a red velvet cake. You are a doll.

God bless you and give you peace,

Sis Catherine

Monica,
Don't worry about the posts, the loss of two days preparation, or being alert during surgery. Just relax and concentrate on baking the red velvet cake and have Sam take some of his fabulous pictures.

You will be ok Monie. I know it is nerve wrecking getting ready for a new little one, but on a positive note, at least you know exactly when he will be here...he is not just gonna sneak up on you. LOL!! I love you and let me know if you need help with anything. Remember that I work close by and I am sometimes right in your neighborhood home visiting my patients.

Sis. Catherine,

Thank you for your sweet comments! I appreciate the prayer more than you know. I feel a little stronger knowing that someone else endured a c-section!

Sis. Hopper,
If you look in the dictionary under worry wart, there would be a picture of me! LOL

Thanks for your generous offer of help. Give me a call or come by and visit. I believe I will be home from the hospital Saturday afternoon, but not too sure.

Sis. Connell,
Thanks for your kind words. We will be sure to post some pics as soon as we can. Even though I am fearful, I am excited at the same time!

Monica, I assure you being awake during the c-section is wonderful. Please don't worry because it is a great experience. :-) Give me a call if you need more assurance.

Thanks, Deb for the extra re-assurance. I keep telling myself it's going to be fine. I will be relieved once it is all over and I am home recuperating. I'll be sure to keep you all posted. Thanks again!
