We Have a Date

To those of you who have been asking, we have finally set a date for the arrival of our son via c-section: 2/1/08 at at 7:30 a.m.
I will be sure to keep regular updates on my blog the best I can as the days fly by.
As for today, I am totally excited because it's my last day of work! Until the baby arrives I will be busy planning and organizing as well as scheduling a manicure and pedicure for myself! I can hardly wait.
On another note, Sam goes for another MRI today at 1:00. This MRI will determine whether or not he will be having a second surgery. I am praying for God to work a miracle for us in this regard so Sam will not have to have surgery again. Otherwise, it will be a race to see which one of us beats the other to operating room! Really, I know this is part of the test that God has set before us. Some days I have chosen to feel sorry for myself, but after the message (It's Not Fair!) Bro. Ari Prado delievered to us at church on Sunday night (Really, I could be the poster child for this message - LOL) I am going to change my attitude and make up my mind that I am going to trust in the Lord no matter what the future holds. Not only do I intend to post praise reports, but my husband will have lots of encouraging messages to preach after it's all said and done!
I promise my blog won't always be about our crazy life, but for now, life is just a little overwhelming.

Hi Chris,

I apologize for not calling you back the other day. It has been so busy around my house, as you know. Thanks for your offer of help. I will keep you all updated with Sam's condition. So far I've lined up some help while I am in the hospital and my mom will be here when I return home. Two friends are going to take turns staying the night with me in the hospital since I know Sam won't be able to sleep in those uncomfortable chairs! I'll keep you posted.

Hi Moni,
I see you so often, I might as well just talk to you in person! =) But you know that we are behind you and Sam...we are here for you both.
Love,
Jaimee Prado

Hey Monica, I found the link to your blog on Christina's blog, and I have been checking up on you. I'm so excited for you having your 2nd baby. I'm truly sorry about Sam's back. I 100% know what you are going through, but I can't imagine it with 2 small kids. I hope and pray he will be better soon. Check out our website and the pictures of my little Yash. I will be coming to San Jose the week of March 17th. Maybe we will see each other. Good luck on Feb 1st with the c/s.

Thanks, Jaimee!
You and Ari have been so supportive - thank you! His message especially helped the other night. I need to give the CD to a few others who have recently told me "It's Not Fair!" LOL

C-section is definitely the way to go. :-) Mine was a piece of cake! Looking forward to seeing the baby pics. Take care and enjoy your time of relaxing before you have to wake up during the wee hours of the morning.

Put 2/1/08 on my calendar.

Wow, you are definitely not alone with life overwhelming you! Sounds like you are one busy lady! Hopefully Sam will not need that 2nd back surgery! Keeping you in my prayers!

Deb,
Thanks for your words of encouragement. I completely forgot you had a c-section. It helps to know I am not alone. I did make the mistake of watching a live c-section the other day on a baby website and now I am totally freaked out! I'm sure when it's all over with, it's going to be just fine! We'll be sure to post pics.

Vonney,
Sounds like you are a little overwhelmed too! I hope your kiddies are feeling better these days. Thanks for your prayers.
