Never Too Young for Soda?

My husband and I were sitting on the couch Saturday afternoon and while we were browsing the internet from his laptop for news, we came across this add for kids and cola. I could not believe my eyes - It said it's never too early to let kids drink cola! I'm sure it was just a joke, but should this even be promoted?!

If any of you know anything about my 2-1/2 year old son, you would know that his diet only consists of bananas, waffles, gold fish, pizza, chicken dinos, chips and grilled-cheese! It's frustrating, and we've been praying that his appetite would change. I learned a little lesson on Sunday afternoon when I mistakenly gave him a taste of chocolate milk. He would not take a nap, and was bouncing off the walls. Caffeine in any shape or form is bad bad bad for my "spirited" son.

The last thing I want to give him is a cola, even though I am ashamed to say that he has had a sip or two of ours. I know we should be setting an example, but I have to admit that I am addicted to soda and it's a tough habit to break!

Monica, Enjoyed your post. It made me relive some experiences with my grandson. CHOCOLATE always makes him WILD. You'll have to have his Aunt Kel (Kellee) tell you about it sometime.

Moni -
Maybe instead of cola, you can give precious little Ethan some sweet tea!! I'm sure that wouldn't wind him up much. haha :-)
